Poetry, Musings, & Screenplays
My interest in writing poetry was sparked over a decade ago, after reading “Letter to an Imaginary Friend” by Thomas McGrath. Writing has always been a part of my life, journaling and chronicling events since a teen and dabbling in poetry later in life. McGrath allowed me to explore new ways of expressing myself. Over the years I have accumulated a collection of poems and musings, and copious prompts yet to be expanded upon. Life events, nature, quirky memoirs, and speculations on personal encounters with humanity are the primary contemplations keeping ink, from pen or typewriter (Olivetti Letter 32), flowing and inspired. I grew up south of Buffalo, New York and now live in a great place called New Hampshire. I love all that New England offers where my writing has become more prolific with increasingly eccentric themes. My reflections have been fueled by maturity and my graduate studies. Our world holds much to ponder and my wife frequently teases me about my childlike wonder that simple everyday encounters provide. Then I take these observations, twist them up, and write.
